North Curry and District Gardening Club

We are a diverse, friendly bunch of people who want to learn more about gardening, whether we are beginners, new garden owners, or seasoned growers. The majority of our members come from North Curry, Stoke St Gregory and other nearby villages. Most of us are hoping to get ideas or advice on how to approach the challenges in our own gardens from folk who might be going through, or already have gone through, the same thing. There’s nothing like learning from others’ triumphs and disasters! So, if you have taken on a new garden, a patch of bare earth/lawn or are just looking for inspiration in your current garden, why not come and join us.

We hold monthly meetings with a guest speaker from February to May, then from September to December. (We are too busy in the garden from June to August!) We bring in speakers who have experience that we feel is relevant to gardeners in our area, often based on suggestions or requests from members. We also have the occasional quiz or other sociable activity.

During the summer, we will arrange two or three visits to gardens or garden events. We also hold an open Plant Sale in May, which is renowned for great ‘home-grown’ plants at amazing prices.

Membership for the 2025/26 season is just £12 per annum (starting from September) and this gives you access to all meetings and priority booking for days out. Visitors are welcome at meetings (£3) and to sign up for visits after the priority window subject to available spaces.
